Originally hailing from Hyderabad in India’s south amidst the bustling food and spice markets, Nandu of Spice Lane migrated to New Zealand in 2008 bringing along with him his love and knowledge of Indian cuisine.
After completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Whitecliffe, Jess ran pop ups across Auckland before opening her first studio in Waihi Beach. Jess is passionate about creating spaces to inspire people of all ages and encourage imagination and the importance of bringing people together.
Originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Fabiana ventured to New Zealand, then New York City for studies in diamond expertise. Marrying a Kiwi led her back to Raglan, where she founded Raglan Botanicals blending her passion for aromatherapy with natural skincare and later opening, Anya Silver Jewellery.
Esther Gathambo’s experience growing up in Kenya fostered a relentless need to contribute meaningfully to the world. Becoming the first in her family to attend university, opened the door to migrate to New Zealand, where she would go on to create a social enterprise celebrating and empowering African artisans.
Alex changed course from her academic background after attending a beginners ceramics class back in 2015. Eight years later she has completed her honours in sculpture, founded a bustling ceramic workshop facility, secured wholesale partnerships with galleries around the country and trains other artists in her field.
Inspired by his wife’s American heritage and family trips to Disneyland, Mr Twist offers nostalgic sweet treats including freshly rolled pretzels, dole whip soft serve and freshly squeezed lemonade.
